Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using resumes.md, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

resumes.md provides a platform to upload resumes, generate structured Markdown profiles, connect social accounts (LinkedIn, X), and publish a public profile page discoverable by humans and AI agents.

3. Your Account

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
  • One account per person. Automated account creation is not allowed.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload or create on resumes.md, including resumes, profile information, and any imported data. By setting your profile to public, you grant resumes.md a license to display that content on the platform and make it available via our API and MCP endpoints.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent resume information.
  • Use the service to spam, harass, or impersonate others.
  • Attempt to access other users' private data.
  • Scrape or bulk-download profiles beyond API rate limits.
  • Use the platform for any illegal purpose.

6. Paid Plans

  • Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe.
  • You can cancel at any time. Access to paid features continues until the end of your current billing period.
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us if you believe you are owed a refund.

7. AI Agent Access

Public profiles may be accessed by AI agents, search engines, and other automated systems through our website, API, and MCP server. By making your profile public, you consent to this access. You can revoke access at any time by setting your profile to private.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, your data will be removed from our systems.

9. Disclaimers

resumes.md is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that AI agents will discover or use your profile, or that the service will be uninterrupted.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, resumes.md and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
